Join in with ancient woodland management and try your hand at traditional crafts.

Following a summer hiatus, Sunday morning coppicing and crafts sessions at Castor Hanglands are back this October. The first of these autumn sessions, held on the second Sunday of every month, takes place on Sunday 12th October. We will spend the morning coppicing (harvesting hazel).
Alongside the coppicing there will be woodcarving and possibly a bit of hurdle making.

Please be aware our work area is a clearing in the woods, with no mod cons, so suitable boots and clothing fit for whatever the weather might be are needed. Do bring a packed lunch and/or snacks if you like: we have benches to sit on and enjoy the woodland.
Please let us know in advance by email (nenecoppicingandcrafts@gmail.com) if you are coming, and we can make sure you find us on the day!
